Your Letters From allows everyone to have a personal correspondence with the greats of literature, art, politics and philosophy.
After subscribing to the writer of your choice, your letters will arrive weekly by email.
Like any ongoing correspondence, the letters vary in tone and length. Some themes will reappear, others will pass. Some are darker, others lighthearted.
Over time, in chronological order, the letters will take you through an entire life.
The letters are strictly based on what we know of the author. They come from the author’s time and world. The authors are not fazed by the gap in time or place - they are simply writing to you as a friend.
We expect that your bond with the author will only strengthen as you learn more about them.

The project aims to create a bond between readers in the 21st century and the greatest artists, philosophers and statesmen of the past who have captured our imagination.
Biographies, films, songs have been written about the likes of William Shakespeare, Jane Austen, Florence Nightingale, Charles Dickens, the stoic philosophers et al.
Centuries of scholarship means that we know much about these people but that’s not the same as being their friend and receiving their letters because letters are a different level of connection entirely.
Our letters are crafted with care, based exclusively on fact and aim to inject a highlight into our readers’ lives.
